The hometown of Shogi and Ideyu hot springs is the Yamagata city of Tendo. The inn of smiles at Taki no Yu overflows with warm smiling faces just as the name says. To help relax the customer, the rooms have a beautiful view of the Asahi (Mt. Gassan) and Zao mountain ranges. Within this still simple Japanese style, time flows slowly. There are rooms with outdoor baths with views and modern Japanese beds. One may enjoy a thoughtful time in a space that they favor. Mealtime includes, in typical Yamagata fashion, meals that are also delicious for the body. The seasonal bounties of the mountain and sea that Tendo is blessed with are naturally flavored and cooked with a focus on in-house vegetables cultivated without pesticides or chemicals. Local delicacy-filled meals that use Yamagata Tsuyahime rice, boiled potato, duck dishes, Yamagata beef dishes, and carp stew will no doubt become one of the good memories of your trip. Have a splendid time at the hot springs. Try our public spas "Beni no Yu" and "Ai no Yu" at Tendo hot springs, which have continued and been loved since their opening in 1886. After bathing, enjoy a beer, health tea, or even the hospitality of a hot spring boiled egg. Without thinking you'll find yourself smiling: that is the kind of hot spring time you are bound to have. Our good old hospitality creates a place where you belong. Spend a special trip that remains with you at the ryokan that overflows with smiles at Taki no Yu.
