ONSEN RYOKAN 山喜 Onsen Ryokan Yamaki
- Tochigi > Nasu ・ Itamuro
- Itamuro Onsen
A building that fuses traditional with contemporary. The lush nature and softness born of the natural hot springs are extraordinary while still being a space that you would want to relax in. We would like to introduce Onsen Ryokan Yamaki that continues to capture the Japanese field scenery together with the flow of the ages. Without requiring an opulent facility, we specialize in simple "original state" design. What this offers is a ryokan where people come to heal both mind and body. In this austere space, there are only 8 rooms. The rooms with diatomite walls that allow guests to touch the warmth of the trees all have their various charms. The hot waters of Itamuro Onsen have continued to boil without change over the past 800 years. Outdoor or indoor, all baths are natural hot springs. The room bath limited to two rooms is a cypress bath with a view that allows guests to leisurely bathe amidst a pleasant scent. Of course, the specialty meals retain the original tastes of its ingredients. We hope you enjoy a Japanese course meal using seasonal items. The dining hall is all private rooms, and thus we hope you savor a meal with an important person. Away from your busy life, in a quiet space wouldn't you like to feel the heart of Japanese people from long ago?

The public spa has an indoor and outdoor spa attached. In the indoor spa, the "standing bath" well known from Itamuro Onsen history has been reproduced. We hope you enjoy this unusually deep bath that guests must enter by lowering themselves into the bath with a rope hanging from the ceiling. Tochigi Prefecture's Itamuro Onsen is a recreation hot springs land with the history that continues as far back as roughly 800 years. We hope you fully enjoy bathing your tired body in these unique waters.Read moreClose
