南天苑 Nanten-En

Ryokan/Inn
Nanten-En / Osaka Eastern Osaka (Neyagawa・Moriguchi・Kadoma・Higashi Osaka) 8

Overview

Nanten-En was formerly Shio Yu Kazoku Yu, a ryokan known for its sea water baths located in Ohama, Sakai-shi. The entire ryokan was taken apart and wholly relocated to Amami, a village famous for hot springs in 1949. Experience Taisho Romantic style at Nanten-En where it is alive.

The warmth of the sunlight that filters through the Japanese paper panels of the shoji and scenery that changes with the season can be seen from the window. Each guest room is a quaint atmospheric space.

Kaiseki cuisine created using select seasonal ingredients are served on beautiful tableware. Savor it while sipping delicious sake.

Amami Onsen is said to have existed since the Nanbokucho Period. Relax body and soul in the delightfully soothing hot spring baths.

Nanten-En's 10,000-square-meter Japanese garden is surrounded on all sides by lush nature. A place where flowers bloom each season and where bird songs echo through out the year, enjoy an unchanged natural scenery unique to Japan.

A ryokan designed by famed architect Kingo Tatsuno, a fabulous Japanese garden. Only 14 guest rooms exist on the large premise. Nanten-En is sure to become a treasured retreat for you where you will forget the hustle-bustle of the city.

Read more We find the ambiance and energy of this hotel is low, except the staff who greeted us as arrived, he is very kind and can tell he enjoyed his work. The service we experienced by the other staff is a bit different to other hotels we have been staying in Japan, staff greeted and communicated with social politeness, however we can feel that they just wish to get things done quickly in one time. Breakfast and Onsen were fine. Dinner was not that good as pictures show on website. Overall we think the hotel is located at a good place, the garden and the hotel itself are just beautiful, it is the staff service to be improved. Thanks
