Welcome to a mountain resort, opened in 2018! Unzen Kyushu Hotel nests in one of the first mountain resorts, "Unzen". With the feeling of appreciation and respect for this land, the hotel is full of "Unzen like" features. Please go for a walk in our buildings during the stay. You will see a courtyard with trees that represent Unzen, a terrace where you can enjoy chit-chatting, and a [Roof Top Lounge] accessible only for the hotel guests to enjoy the magnificent nature from the sky. Let's enjoy the stay fully. If you are here for the view, we have a room with a view of Jigokudani. If you want privacy, we have a cottage. Please enjoy the interiors imaged by mountains. For those who value a sense of privacy, a separate room is available. Please enjoy the interior with the image of mountains. We invite you to invite your important friends to the villa.

Guests staying at the lodge building can have dinner and breakfast at the classical mail dining room . As the founder used to be a Shanghai route- western chef, our dinner is mainly European style menu. Not only classic western menu but with taste of modern, and some Japanese style blended in. Please enjoy our chef's selection of specialties made from ingredients taken from local sea, along with our recommended wine (drinks at breakfast and dinner are chargeable). You can choose Japanese or western set menu at the main dining room for breakfast. For guests staying at the annex building will be having dinner at our private dining room [grillé] near each cottage with upgraded ingredients from the main dining room. There are no public onsen bath. Enjoy bath in your room whenever you want. Please note that Unzen is a national park where we cannot drill, therefore the onsen is not 100% natural hot spring and the amount and temperature will change due to weather and season. Other facility information
On the way to your room in the lodging building, there is a casual cafe [The Mellow Ridge] on the 2nd floor with terrace seats where you can relax viewing the mountain ridge, courtyard, and and the trees by the lake. From cafe at noon to the bar time at night, coffee after a walk, or drinks after dinner, guests will enjoy a moment of talking and relaxing along with beautiful music. Also on the penthouse is [The Roof Top Lounge] only accessible by guests of our hotel. This is the only terrace lounge where you can enjoy the nature of Unzen from above. We provide self-service drinks, a mini library, and a massage chair. Guests can enjoy the stars and moonlight on a night after a sunny day. 1. This may not be a hotel for a family with children to enjoy. The atmosphere is for adults, that may bore young children and cannot play around as much. Also at the terrace parents must watch their children at all times which may not be relaxing for adults. 2. Due to effect of rust from sulphur, from having Unzen Jigoku view, we will change the machine facilities every 2-3 years.
