Overview

In the middle of the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter.
It is a small inn with ”things” and is the leading role at “Temari.”

Tradition, material, technique breathing in Okayama, Kurashiki Japan from a long time ago.
Goods that were expressed and designed in the present style.

Glass, container, lampshade which have meaning and skillfully made by glass artist and potter.
Chab table and chair are craftsmen made with wood from in Japan.
Goemon’s bath is made of cast iron that will warm your body.

These are things you can only understand for the first time by experiencing and feeling.
Have fun discovering a new style that was born from tradition.
The life you can feel must be connected to the future era.
Please feel this comfort and breath for yourself.

Kurashiki is a town with a popular folk song movement and the second oldest Japanese Folk Crafts Museum that was built in Japan in 1948.
It is the place where the oldest son of Soichiro Ohara made the Kurashiki Folkcraft Museum and businessman Magosaburō Ōhara who built the Japanese Folk Crafts Museum while supporting Muneyoshi Yanagi by donation.

We think there is something special about staying at this “living accommodation” in the town where such temperament is still passed on.
Experience separation from daily life during the time at the town in the middle of the Bikan Historical Quarter.

Please bring back to your own lifestyle what you discover at our inn.

It was a very elegant space surrounded by folk crafts. A room that is simple but has a solemn atmosphere. I spent my time thinking that it would be nice to have a place to live in the future. It was a very fulfilling time. Thank you very much. If I have another chance, I will stay overnight.

thank you for helping me. When I mentioned that it was a 30th anniversary trip, I was deeply moved by the handwritten letters and gifts. For dinner, I recommended Mamakari-san, and the dishes of mantis shrimp and Spanish mackerel were excellent. The Goemon bath warms up to the core and is the best! ️ I was able to spend a leisurely time surrounded by many things of polite work. There is an inconvenience that the toilet is underneath (I knew it), but it was blown away with care and consideration. The next day, I was planning to move soon, but I wanted to see the city of Kurashiki a little more, so I went for a walk here and there. (It was good that I could park my car until around noon) But it was a pity that I couldn't go to the Ohara Museum of Art because there were many regular holidays on Mondays. I wanted to thank him, so I went back to Mikando, but I was waiting for him alone, so I refrained from doing so. I want to travel to Kurashiki again. At that time, I would like to stay at the living inn Temari-san again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for politely explaining the recommended shops in the Bikan Historical Quarter using the map. It was especially helpful to be able to introduce the recommended restaurants for breakfast. The room was very clean, and I was very grateful that the disinfectant and cypress disinfectant spray were placed at the entrance. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.
