温泉旅館湯さか荘 Yusakasou

casual Ryokan/Inn
Yusakasou / Kanagawa Hakone 1

Overview

The hot spring inn 'Yusakasou' provides a unique garden open-air bath you cannot find anywhere else, made in collaboration with a famous gardener.
50 years ago, the owner's grandfather was digging in this land and stumbled across the hot spring, so he founded this inn.

One of the focal points here at Yusakasou that we pride ourselves on its that all plans are 'dinner and breakfast served in-room' plans.
If you want to relax at a hot spring inn, you must agree that it is best to not have to lift a finger when it comes to your meals.
Guests only have to be in their rooms and our staff will bring them not only dinner but breakfast as well.

Hakone hot spring became known when feudal lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the top samurai, came to take over the Odawara region.
For his clan, to while away the time they happened to use Hakone Yumoto Hot Spring, the hot spring that now runs at this accommodation.
Please enjoy forest-bathing, filled with negative ions that come along with birdsong while looking out at the mountains of Hakone.

Please experience a calming space that warms your heart and spend a relaxing, private moment with your friends, family and those important to you.

Bath

[Non Gender Segregated Garden Open Air Bath]
A well cared for Japanese garden centered on white Japanese pine, and an open air bath set with exquisite stones from all over Japan.
You can see ranges of mountains that change their scenery with each season and the liberating sky from the free flowing hot spring.

Usually this bath is a non gender segregated bath, but the hour between 8pm and 9pm is reserved for female only use.
Both the men's and women's inside baths are connected to the non segregated open air bath, so couples and families can bathe together (bathing towels available for female guests).

We recommend that female guests do not bathe after midnight due to security reasons.

[Private rental half open air Japanese cypress bath Soun no Yu]
This is a private rental bath with the lingering scent of Japanese cypress which was newly built in 2008.
There is a small garden of 10m2, and you can enjoy bathing in the half open air bath, in winter closing the large window and in summer leaving it open.
Only the private rental bath has a diaper changing table and baby soap.

*We take reservations for this bath at check in. Each group can use the bath for up to 30 minutes free of charge.

Other facility information

The lounge, newly opened in 2008, has been very popular among our guests. Wifi is available throughout the lobby lounge.

You can either bring your own laptop to the lounge, or use one of the computers provided in the lounge area.
On top of this, there is a mini table tennis table next to the lounge, which you can use whenever you like.

It is also equipped with nostalgic manga and picture books, as well as books about the history of hot springs, recommended by the young master of the inn.
Would you like to use the lounge after bathing or for a peaceful moment in the morning, sipping on complimentary coffee?
