EN Takeda Castle Town Hotel / Hyogo Kannabe・Hachibuse・Yabu・Wadayama 4

The former site of the Takeda Castle is known as the Machu Picchu of Japan. For over 400 years a sake brewery sat in the castle town of the Takeda Castle, gazing up at it.

Without altering the places that expressed its distinct character, the sake brewery has been renovated. It is a space where time seems to have come to a standstill. Guests are treated to an experience where the ordinary and the extraordinary seamlessly blend into each other that cannot be known anywhere else.

EN, the name of the inn, can mean a number of things: "garden," "banquet," "performance," "roundness," and "smoke." Between people, between humans and nature, between humans and history, between people and local regions, between regions and regions, the inn wishes to be a place where bonds are strengthened and meetings happen. It strives every day to be an embodiment of that wish.

The hotel's dining room is a space where the ambiance of the old-era sake brewery has been carefully preserved with some modern touches. Enjoy superb French cuisine by Yukihisa Ishii, the premier French chef of Japan’s Kansai region. 'Terroir et Natural' is the name of his health-conscious courses. Dedicated in using locally-sourced ingredients, the chef's cuisine allows the inn's guests to savor the fruits of the region’s producers' labor.

Rooms of a century-old building built during the Meiji period are comfortable guest rooms. Greatest effort has been made to preserve the rooms and the building in their original state. The four guest rooms are named after four trees that symbolize the seasons of the year. Everywhere in the distinguished space history and tradition are alive and breathing.

*If you wish to stay with your dog please make reservations for "Kusuni" or "Katsura."

Thank you for your flexible support such as changing my room to a private room with a bath because I feel sick. The furniture and miscellaneous goods are very fashionable, and I thought it would have been nice to have some time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at the inn. A staff member taught me how to get to the opposite side of the track, and I was able to take a walk like exploring! However, I was a little disappointed because there was no explanation for breakfast. I had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

I asked for a small room because it was a trip alone, but it was nice because it was renovated very neatly. The evening and morning were refreshing and cool, so I was disappointed that I could open the window with a screen door. In the room, not only the Takeda Castle ruins, but also a file that summarizes information about sightseeing spots along the Bantan Line, it helped with the next day's sightseeing plan and made me want to come again. The meal was very tasty and the recommended liquor matched well. To be honest, there is nothing in the vicinity except Takeda Castle Ruins and a little temple street. There is no inn, spa, recreation, or even television. However, if there was nothing so far, I had no choice but to relax and have a relaxed vacation.

The person who was in charge was a very warm person, and even though I was late for the check-in time, I responded carefully. We responded to our selfishness that we wanted to drink alcohol in the room, and even though it was late, the restaurant chef prepared a snack. The time to escape from the bustle of the city and spend time feeling the history in a space with neither a clock nor a television was very luxurious. There are cute yukatas and amenity drawstrings to choose from, and the modern and stylish atmosphere in the building, so it's a pleasure for me who loves photography. When we talked about the next main event of sunrise, soba noodle tour, we introduced recommended shops and printed out tourist maps. There was a time to try again and again, and my mind and body came back completely relaxed. I want to see you again. Thank you very much.

Originally the restaurant of the former Kimura sake shop EN was founded 400 years ago, it was fermentation storage of a long-established store. People gather in this space again, we talk and our hearts are connected - If we imagined such a future, the warehouse became a restaurant as it was.
