季譜の里 Kifunosato

Kifunosato / Okayama Tsuyama・Mimasakamiyu・Hiruzen 132

Since the past, Japan has lived alongside the seasons.

When the cherry blossoms bloom, we rejoice the coming of spring; in summer, our hearts dance at the sight of the sunflowers. The red leaves of autumn invite nostalgia while during winter, we are touched by the beautiful camellia which endures the coldness of the winter.

In Kifunosato, surrounded by these plants, you will be able to experience the joy of knowing the four seasons in Japan.

The spaces are all connected by tatami hallways adorned with picture scrolls, creating small Japanese paths with a sense of Kifu. The rooms brim with the scent of the wood and the playful Japanese sukiya architecture is deeply atmospheric. The tatami floors also allow for enjoyment barefooted and another attraction is the relaxation among the beautifully crafted furniture of pure hinoki cypress.

The baths use water from the local Yunogo hot spring, Sagi-no-Yu, which is one of the three famous Mimasaka hot springs that represent Okayama prefecture. The gentle, weak alkaline waters are well-known as the waters of beauty. If you gaze at the gardens while soaking in the waters and breathe a sigh of relief, the joy of the Japanese country will embrace you.

The cuisine represents the seasons with colors of bounties from the Seto Inalnd Sea, the Sea of Japan, the hills, as well as nature's grace. We want you to taste bits of every delicious food and are more concerned with quality than quantity. The proprietress hospitality is the color added to the best of the seasonal foods.

In Kifunosato, there is a time of peace in which you can enjoy the seasons of Yunogo hot spring and the atmosphere of Japan to your heart's content.

Due to the approach of the typhoon, when we left with plenty of room, we arrived much earlier than the check-in, but we appreciate it because we responded easily. The dinner was delicious, no matter what I received, the service was in good timing and I was very satisfied. The staff was pleasant and enjoyable and had a relaxing time. The splendid care of the garden that can be seen through the window, ikebana, around the hotel. I would like to visit again in different seasons.
