Kaike Onsen is blessed with its magnificent views, and given four awards: “Japan’s top 100 best Asahi (sun rise)” ,“ Japan’s top 100 best beach ”, “Japan’s top 100 Hakusha Seishou (best coastline scenery)” and "top 100 urban landscape ."

Not limited to Onsen, you can enjoy sea bathing at the beach chosen for “best 88 beaches.” Come out of your room with wearing nothing but bathing suit to the beach and then straight to the Onsen.

After washing away sweat and sea water, how about having rock oysters along with local Kaike Sake?

In winter time, enjoy fresh seafood including Matsuba crabs and white cuttlefish and Mosa-ebi prawns while viewing sparkling lights from squid jigging boats on the far of sea.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

The source of the hot spring was coincidentally found by fishermen and Kaike Onsen had grown to the best hot spring town in San-in region through efforts of numerous people before the Second World War. After the war, Japan’s first triathlon race was held here to enhance the image of this area, and triathlon race has stayed in place as an annual event until now. There is a bronze monument of birthplace of Triathlon along the seaside.
