Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

Wakita hot spring is located along the prefectural road No. 21 connecting Noogata City and Fukuoka City, just in the middle of the Fukuoka district where the Chikuho district once prospered as a coal mine area and the most important commercial city in Kyushu.
There are six hot spring accommodations in the valley where the Inunakigawa River which is the tributary of the Ongagawa River flows, and it is a hot spring resort located in rich nature called "Hakata's inner room".
In the Miyawaka City where there is a hot spring, there are sightseeing spots such as a spiritual temple which was opened by the monk row in the second year of the Yoro (718) and Wakamiya Hachimangu shrine which is related to the founder of Ukiyoe.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Wakita hot spring is said to be opened in the Nara era and is a hot spring resort with a history that it is also described in records of the culture and geography of Chikuzen in the Edo period.
