Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

This spa village is situated in Echigo Plain, which was made by the flow of Shinano River, in the eastern part of Mt. Taho in Niigata Prefecture. This area is surrounded by rich nature such as the beautiful coast facing the Sea of Japan, Mt. Yahiko, Mt. Taho and Mt. Kakuda.
This village is small, but touches the heart of a traveler, so it has been popular because of its secluded atmosphere. Now there are 11 hotels in the village.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

This spa village was designated as a People’s Recreation Spain 1963, and its spring quality and environment with efficacy are guaranteed. The spring quality is chloride spring.
