Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

Hachimantai Onsen Village is located around the area of Hachimantai in the Towada Hachimantai National Park. From the mountain of altitude between 1400m and 1600m, it offers fascinating views from season to season.

The Hachimantai Asupite Line is a sightseeing road, a former toll road, which connects Hachimantai Onsen and Toroko Onsen in Akita. Enjoy the views of beautiful nature such as the vast field with Abie trees and highland plants along the road while driving.

Hachimantai Onsen Village is the place where you can enjoy many other activities such as driving in gorgeous nature in addition to bathing in the hot spring.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Hachimantai Onsen is effective on rheumatism, hypertension, skin diseases, and diabetics.

Among the several hot springs, “Fuke-no-yu Onsen” has the longest history that was established somewhere between 1704 and 1711.

It is a well-known as a therapeutic bath with a very long history.
