Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

The history of this hot spring goes back to the legend of a white fox. About 600 years ago, a white fox was soaking an injured leg in a pond. Upon digging up near the pond, hot water sprang up, which is believed to be the beginning of Yuda Onsen.

There is a spring-water drinking fountain along with six foot baths around the Yuda Onsen tourist information center.

This is a simple alkaline spring, which has a superb beauty effect on the skin. It provides whopping 2000 tons/day of hot water that is effective for muscle ache, joint pain, stiff shoulders, paralysis, and many more.
