Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

According to a legend, someone saw a turtle was healing its wound in the hot spring water that was gushing out on the beach during Tenki period (1053-58).

As a result, this hot spring was named “Kame no yu (turtle’s bath)” and became well known in this area.
