Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

Hakuba Village in Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture is well-known for its numerous hot springs, where you can enjoy a superb view of the North Alps. It is said that the best one among them is Hakuba-Himekawa Onsen having only one hotel.
The expansive open-air bath allows you to admire a magnificent mountain range of the North Alps over 3000 meters high, and has an excellent moisture retention effect.
As the hot water of Himekawa keeps your body warm after a bath and contains a lot of metasilicic acid, it is well-known as “skin-beautifying water”.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Hakuba-Himekawa Onsen gushes out about 166 liters of water per minute, and its temperature is about 49,9 degrees. The water is colorless and transparent. It is a little salty because of chloride.
