Since this hot spring was found when a fox was soaking in the hot spring to soothe an injury, the place is filled with fox footprints and monuments. Yuda Onsen and the white fox have been inseparable, and it has been said that treating foxes with kindness brings a good luck.

Along with Kamakura, the ambience of Middle Ages is still left in this area, attracting visitors to "the power spot."



Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Yuda Onsen is one of the famous hot springs in Yamaguchi Prefecture. A legend tells this Beauty Water was found by a white fox. Upon digging up the area, hot water gushed out.
The spring is low-alkaline and simple, containing radon.

About 30 ryokans and hotels are available along with many souvenir shops that sell white fox goods.
