Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

This is the only hot spring in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture. The City is known for the national treasure, Inuyama Castle. The hot spring is drawn to five inns.

Inuyama City, in north west Aichi Prefecture, has prospered by commerce on Kiso River since antient times.

Inuyama Castle was built in 1537 by Nobuyasu oda, the uncle of the Shogun Nobunaga oda. It's the oldest existing wooden castle tower in Japan, surrounded by historic houses.

There are many other attractions such as Meiji Village and cormorant fishing on Kiso River.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

This is a new spring gushed out in 1996 near Inuyama Castle.The alkaline simple hot spring leaves your skin silky and smoothe, and it's popular. The source spring is 23°C (73°F) and it's heated for bathing. The water is not for drinking.

There is no day-trip facility, but each lodging in Inuyama Onsen is open for visitors who want to enjoy just hot spring.
