Tatsunokuchi Onsen

Hot Spring of Tranquility, away from Urban Hustle and Bustle

Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

Tatsunokuchi Onsen is called “Warehouse residence” of Kanazawa.

The relaxing atmosphere of this area helps you rest both body and mind.

As Tatsunokuchi Onsen is close to the Japan Sea and Mount Hakusanroku, you can enjoy fresh food from the sea and mountain.

This Onsen is known as the home land of Kyoka Izumi, a great writer in Meiji period (1868-1912) where you could fully enjoy peaceful time like he did.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Tatsunokuchi Onsen is also in an ideal location with a great access to Kanazawa. It helps you forget the bustle of urban life and heal yourself in rich nature.

Tatsukuchi Onsen is effective on physical fatigue and sensitivity to cold, and helps beautify your skin.

It proudly celebrates over 1300 years of history since its establishment.

According to a legend, people in the village would come to heal horse legs in ancient times.

Due to multiple floods over certain periods, this hot spring had been buried.

It was then tapped by a villager who heard a divine message from the Yakushi-Nyorai God, telling him to dig the buried hot spring.
