Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

There is a hot spring facing Tateyama Bay in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture; it is Tateyama Onsen Village.
Thanks to Kuroshio Current, this area is blessed with warm climate and various types of flowers. Especially, Boso Flower Line, a 17-kilometer driving course stretching along Heisaura Coast from Sunosaki to Shirahama Town, is very popular as a nice driving route commanding a view of the sea and flowers.
Along the streets in and around the village, there are houses with orange roofs and white walls, so you can feel a southern European atmosphere.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Tateyama Onsen Village was opened in 2005, so we can say that it is a quite new hot spring.
The water is colorless, odorless and smooth to the touch. It produces air bubbles, which cling to the body.
