Chuzenji Onsen

Lakeside Hot Spring Reflecting Oku-Nikko’s Four Seasons

Introduction of Hot Springs (Onsen)

At the entrance of Oku-Nikko, Chuzenji Onsen stands by a lake. Lovely Chuzenji Lake spreads at the foot of Mt. Nantai, reflecting the seasonal colors on the blue water. Many say the lake is amazing against the fall colors.

Three best waterfalls of Oku-Nikko dot the neighborhood. There are shrines by the lake, one of them over 700 years old. Take a walk around them and feel the majesty of nature, then, stretch in the milky hot water.
