Konpira Onsen is located in Konpira Town, Kagawa near Konpira Temple that many people wish to visit at least once in a lifetime.

This town had flourished as a post town with numerous visitors to Kompira Shrine since Edo period (1603-1868) in which you can still feel its traces.

For sightseeing, of course, Kompira Shirine visit is a must.

This area is well-known for Sanuki Udon noodles; joining an Udon noodle making workshop would give you a good memory.

At the tourist information that opened at Ishidansuji, you can rent a golden bicycle or golden cane for Konpira Shrine visit. (This shrine is famous for its long stone steps, as many as over 2100)

Golden soft ice cream is sold here is currently getting attentions from visitors.

Effects and characteristics of Hot Springs

Although it used to a post-town filled with visitors to Konpira Shrine, it is a new hot spring resort that its source was found in 1997.

This colorless and transparent hot spring water is classified as sodium calcium chloride spring and the quality is similar to that of Arima Onsen.

It is effective on neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain or skin diseases and helps heal physical fatigue after the trip to Konpira.
