It’s been 300 years since this hot spring opened. Iwamuro hot springs have one of the greatest histories and traditions in Japan. It is called a salon in Niigata prefecture. Yumotoya is located in such a place.

New building Kakuda-kan, the main building Yahiko-kan and the annex Kasho-an.
Each building is noble and has an architectural beauty. And in such buildings, there are elegant rooms. Have a special time with your beloved ones.

In the meal, taste the strictly selected Niigata local foods. Niigata is famous for Japanese sake. You can have high quality sake or reasonable wines. Enjoy the "marriage" of time and alcohol.

Bath

Iwamuro hot springs have a 300-year-history and it is one of the most traditional hot springs in Japan. Echigo Ichinomiya, the head priest in Echigo area ‘’Yahiko shrine’’ has a lot of worship-visitors and this place used to be very popular as a red-light district. The wounded wild goose once came into this place, and it healed its injuries by using natural hot springs. Even now many visitors come from both inside and outside Niigata prefecture. Iwamuro hot springs are really good for your skin.

We exchange men and women for bath every day, so enjoy both baths during your stay. You can't take a bath between 9:30-11:15 because of cleaning.

You have to pay a bathing tax 150 JPY per adult.

Free shuttle service

We can pick you up at either Yahiko station or Iwamuro station. It’s not a bus, but we pick up as many of you as we can. Please make a reservation in advance and inform us of your arrival time at either station. We can provide this pick-up service until 18:00. Please call us by the day before.
