- Shima Kanko Hotel The Classic
The celebrated Japanese architect, Togo Murano, designed this hotel. This hotel was established in 1951 as the first domestic Western resort hotel after the war. This hotel has had many significant guests, including the Showa Emperor, and was the setting for the famous novel “Kareinaru Ichizoku”. You can see the beautiful bay, Ago Bay, among the natural settings of Iseshima as well as the sunset which is ranked as one of the 100 most beautiful sunsets. Because Many people have been attracted to this hotel over the years, we kept the history and tradition of it and renewed it with new designs and comfortable places. The rooms used to be separated but after renovations, two rooms were combined to make one large spacious room. The bathing rooms have views of beautiful Iseshima nature. The rooms have new living rooms where guests can take off their shoes and relax. For dinner, we have Shima hotel traditional French food with seafood from Iseshima. Your mouth will water from the impressive flavors of the meal and will never forget it. Please experience the warmth we have been passing on to guests over the years.
